Some fans might question whether the Wollongong Hawks were too tough and acted too swiftly in dumping star import Tywain McKee after a series of driving offences, including drink-driving. It was a difficult decision for the club to cut its recruit loose, but the response was spot on.The Hawks are only alive today because of the support they garnered from this community. But Ty, who drove a Hawks' car while he was unlicensed, could have sunk the entire operation with his irresponsible actions. And, if it wasn't bad enough he committed these offences, he also tried to conceal them.In short, the American sullied the club's good reputation, which the Hawks had worked so hard to build.Sorry, Ty - you fouled big time.
