A cheeky pit stop proved an expensive mistake for a Nowra man caught defecating on a roundabout last night.
A police crew were on patrol near Nowra’s town centre at about 8.10pm when they spotted a man squatting in the middle of a paved roundabout at the intersection of Worrigee and Osborne Streets.
Upon closer investigation the officers noticed the man’s pants were around his ankles and he was precariously balanced while in the act of defecating.
Police believe the man’s level of intoxication may have been a contributing factor.
The man was issued with a criminal infringement notice for offensive behaviour and a fine of $150.
