Pink pimple lights target teenage yobs

Here's the latest high-tech weapon in the fight against troublesome teenagers - pimple lights.

Residents in Nottinghamshire, central England, have installed pink lights in an underpass to combat the problems of drinking and anti-social behaviour among youths.

Similar to lights used in a beauty parlour, the globes highlight teenage acne and skin blemishes.

And the youngsters have reportedly begun fleeing in embarrassment.

"Any teenager standing there trying to act big and tough will be seen as the spotty little herbert they really are," one resident told Britain's The Daily Telegraph.

Residents' association chairman Tony Gelsthorpe said the lights were installed after a string of complaints about foul-mouthed yobs.

"We've had problems with underage drinking, drug dealing, anti-social behaviour and general intimidation," he said.

"I was a little bit dubious about the pink lights at first but it's done the trick. We've got to think of our residents and we've got to live here at the end of the day."
