Tumbleweed to play at Homebake

23 Jul, 2009 08:57 PM
Legendary Wollongong band Tumbleweed have reformed almost a decade after their last show.

The original line-up of singer Richie Lewis, guitarists Lenny Curley and Paul Hausmeister, bassist Jay Curley and drummer Steve O'Brien will perform at Homebake in Sydney on December 5.

It is understood that a profile on the band's history published in the Illawarra Mercury's Weekender played a part in the band's decision to reform.

  • PROFILE: Taking a tumble with iconic band Tumbleweed

Lenny Curley said the decision was made only a few weeks ago and the five band members had yet to find a time to get together to rehearse.

The band hasn't discussed recording any new material but they haven't ruled it out either.

Tickets for Homebake go on sale Monday, August 17 at 9am.
