Two people have been charged with assaulting ambulance officers after an incident at Primbee early yesterday.About 2.30am four ambulance officers were called to Illowra Cres after concerns were raised for a young woman who appeared to be unconscious.As the officers, three men and a woman, were attempting to treat the patient and transfer her to an ambulance, they were allegedly assaulted by a group of people at the location.Police attended a short time later and arrested a Warilla man and a Towradgi woman, both aged 18, over the attack.The four ambulance officers were treated at Wollongong Hospital for lacerations and bruising.The patient was also treated at hospital and was found to have no serious injuries.Police charged an 18-year-old man with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and four counts of common assault.The 18-year-old woman was charged with two counts each of resist/hindering police and common assault against ambulance staff.They were both granted conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on August 26.
