Another driver has crashed on a notorious stretch of the Princes Hwy at East Lynne, one week after the
fatal collision between a fuel tanker and three northbound cars which has left four people dead.
About 2.30pm yesterday, a northbound car struck a tree at East Lynne, 20km north of Batemans Bay.
A NSW Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the crash happened close to the same spot where the multiple-vehicle collision occurred just before 5pm last Monday.
She said a man had been taken by ambulance to Batemans Bay Hospital with minor injuries.
It is the second collision on the winding stretch of road between Termeil and Batemans Bay since last week's fiery tanker crash.
Last Wednesday afternoon, ambulance crews took one man to hospital with shoulder injuries after a three-car collision near the intersection of Bawley Point Rd at Termeil, about 11km north of the earlier East Lynne crash.
The toll from last week's horrific crash rose to four on Sunday afternoon when Ulladulla father, David Bridge, 47, died in Royal North Shore Hospital after sustaining burns to 80 per cent of his body.
His two daughters - Makeely, 11, and Jordon, 13 - died in the collision after the Subaru Forester in which they were passengers and the southbound fuel tanker exploded on impact.
Narellan Vale truck driver David Carolan, 36, was also killed. Police said on the weekend that the girls' mother, Debbie Bridge, 40, remained in a critical condition in Concord Hospital.
