The Anzac Day weekend was marked by violence with an alleged glassing at Mt Kembla, a police officer kicked in the face and capsicum spray used to subdue teenagers at an out-of-control party.Southern Anzac Day, a police crackdown on drunken, anti-social behaviour, had been launched in preparation for the traditional day of commemoration, and the planning was not misplaced.At 10.40pm on Friday, police were called to the Ulladulla Sporting Complex where a party of more than 200 young people, most appearing under 18 and intoxicated, spun out of control.

Investigations are continuing, police said.The same night, paramedics were called to Port Kembla Police Station to treat a male who had been hit by a taser, followed by a call-out to the corner of Keira and West streets, Wollongong, where several persons were injured in a brawl involving 20 people.Insp Thorpe said police were called to the East Nowra shops about 8.20pm after a male allegedly threw a rock through a shopfront window.When the 21-year-old was told he was under arrest, he wanted to fight with police."A struggle ensued and a police officer was kicked in the face, causing injuries to his nose and eyes and requiring treatment at Shoalhaven Hospital," Insp Thorpe said.Three men, two aged 21 and the other 19, were charged with offensive behaviour after allegedly urinating in public streets at Ulladulla and Sussex Inlet.About 6.20pm, two men aged 43 and 39 were attacked and knocked to the ground by a group of males, described as being of Aboriginal appearance, outside Coles Nowra.One of the men required hospital treatment.
