A B-double truck crashed through an armco barrier and 40m down an embankment following an accident on Picton Rd this morning.
The accident happened just after 6.30am when a utility collided with the unladen truck as both travelled south towards Wollongong.
It is believed the ute aquaplaned before its passenger side collided with the front, driver's side wheel of the truck, 400m west of Mt Keira Rd.
Just metres separated the driver from careering under the truck, between the cabin and trailer.
Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Traffic was disrupted for 30 minutes.
