Britney Spears fans camp out in Wollongong for tickets

04 Jul, 2009 05:00 AM
Diehard Britney Spears fans braved gusty winds and chilly temperatures for up to 12 hours outside the WIN Entertainment Centre box office yesterday to secure coveted front row seats at her November concerts.

Wollongong's Brad Meier and his mate Werner Bissett were at the front of the queue after making camp at 9pm on Thursday.

"We were freezing, it's so cold," Mr Meier said.

The pair said they could not miss Britney's first tour of Australia and were hoping to buy the most expensive tickets - at $199 - to her Sydney show.

To keep their spirits up through the night, Mr Meier said those in the queue sang Britney songs.

"At the moment my favourite (song) is probably Circus and If You Seek Amy as well," he said.

As for all the gossip and controversy that has surrounded the superstar mum in recent years, Mr Meier is loyal.

"I don't believe any of it," he said.

"But it's always good to read it."
