A 34-year-old Spanish national has been charged following the deaths of a motorcyclist and his passenger in a head-on collision on the Princes Hwy at East Lynne.
The crash happened shortly before 4pm on Saturday when a northbound Honda motorcycle and a southbound Holden Commodore station wagon collided near Tomboyne Rd.
The motorcycle rider, a 52-year-old man, and his pillion passenger, a 53-year-old woman, both from Fishermans Paradise, died at the scene.

The family, believed to be who are all from Spain, were taken to Batemans Bay Hospital and released the same night after treatment.
Shortly after being released, Batemans Bay police arrested the 34-year-old man was later charged with two counts of dangerous driving occasioning death.
He was granted bail to appear in Batemans Bay Local Court next Monday.
The highway was closed for almost 10 hours with major traffic problems ensuing after vehicles were diverted along Lookout and Old Nelligan roads, which were unsuitable for heavy vehicles and cars towing caravans.
Police said relatives were expected to fly from Queensland to make a formal identification of one of the deceased.
The scene was examined by officers of the Southern Regional Crash Investigation Unit, who are preparing a report for the NSW Coroner.
Police have spoken with a number of witnesses, but are appealing for anyone else who saw the crash to contact the crash unit or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
