Elderly woman injured in Gerroa crash

An elderly driver was believed to have had a fit while driving through Gerroa yesterday causing her to crash into a tree.

The 67-year-old woman was driving along Gerroa Rd just after 4pm when she was thought to have had a fit.

The woman crashed her car into a tree and became trapped.

Ambulance officers along with police, SES rescue, Fire Brigade rescue and an ambulance helicopter attended the scene to free the woman and airlift her to St George Hospital.

She was suffering from spinal injuries, a fractured thigh bone, fractured breast bone and broken ribs.

She was in a serious but stable condition last night.

oh is she okay? thats no good i hope she's alright i've heard about that. please update i would love to hear some positive feed back about the women hopefully she gets freed and can go back to her family, ouch! that would hurt get better lady, sorry to hear suck a bad accident i heard the sirens racing up and down and seen helicopters, xx
