A Figtree P-plate driver has had his licence suspended after he was allegedly caught speeding at 160km/h on the Hume Hwy last night.
Police allege the 20-year-old was one of three young men caught driving well above the speed limit on the highway in south western Sydney.
The Figtree man was stopped at Mount Annan at 7.30pm after allegedly speeding at 160km/h in a 100km/h zone at 7.30pm.
The P2 driver was issued with a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
Just before 9pm, police allegedly detected another vehicle travelling at 172km/h in a 110km/h limit on the highway at Mount Annan.
The 20-year-old Kingswood man was stopped by police and issued with a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
In another incident just before midnight, highway patrol officers allegedly detected a vehicle travelling at 185km/h in a 100km/h zone on the highway at Menangle.
The 24-year-old man from Edensor Park was issued a traffic infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
All three men also had their licences suspended on the spot.
