Fire crews managed to extinguish a blaze in a Bellambi garage in the early hours of this morning before it could spread to nearby apartments.
The fire brigade were called to Rothery Rd at 1.24am to find the garage well alight.
Crews from Bulli and Corrimal attended and worked for about 40 minutes to extinguish the fire while protecting nearby homes.
The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.
