24 Nov, 2009 05:19 PM
A 13-year-old girl has suffered leg, neck and back injuries after falling down a cliff while bushwalking on Macquarie Pass today.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said a rescue helicopter was winching the girl from bushland near the base of the pass this afternoon.

The girl's mother was reportedly with the girl when the accident occurred and hiked out to raise the alarm, the spokesperson said.

I'm glad it was a happy ending & that she is recovering well. Hope Mum is OK too, to have to leave her child on her own injured in the bush to get help must have been a nightmare for her.
