Illawarra Mercury sports reporter Tim Keeble is in Perth with the Wollongong Hawks in the lead up to Friday night's first grand final series game against the Perth Wildcats.
The team touched down in the western capital earlier today and have been on the go ever since.
Tim took five minutes out for a Q&A about the Hawks first day.
What is the feeling among the Hawks today?
"They're all good. They are quietly confident.
"They know it's going to be very tough, a hard job, but they're prepared to do it as best they can.''
How is Hawks coach Gordie McLeod in the lead up to the first grand final match?
"He has just had a press conference and Gordie also has a quiet confidence about him.
"He doesn't make any big outlandish predictions.
"Perth coach (Rob) Beveridge was pretty subdued and clarified some of his comments to us earlier in the week.''
What has the schedule been like so far?
"From the time we got here, Mat Campbell and Gordie went straight to a press conference, then Gordie went to training.
"Campbell then went into a photo session and now he's gone into a training session, it will just be a light training session.
"After that they'll go to dinner then off to their rooms.''
