A Wollongong preschool has been named best child-care service in Australia.Hospital Hill Occasional Care and Preschool won the title of Children's Service of the Year at the Australian Family Fisher-Price Child Care Awards. Four national winners were selected from more than 1300 nominations by a judging panel of child care and early childhood experts at the weekend.Hospital Hill's acting director Melissa Wicks said the centre had been nominated by a family whose child had been in the care of the preschool for a number of years."(Hospital Hill) really caters to the needs of children who require additional support," Ms Wicks said. "That's one of the strengths that we did push forward - it's about the relationship we have with families."It's given staff a real lift.
