Wednesday is D-Day for those caught up in Wollongong's corruption scandal.
Former councillors, developers and public officials received letters from the Independent Commission Against Corruption yesterday instructing that its final report would be tabled in Parliament on Wednesday.
It's the final instalment of ICAC's report following sensational public hearings in March and April this year.
The first chapter found systemic corruption existed within the council and recommended that it be sacked.
The second instalment said former council officer Beth Morgan and developer Frank Vellar engaged in serious corrupt conduct and found their actions "could constitute ... criminal offences of aiding and abetting misconduct in public office, conspiring to commit the offence of misconduct in public office, and corruptly giving benefits".
In April, ICAC sent submissions to "affected persons" detailing its allegations against them.
The recipients had 10 days to respond to Commissioner Jerrold Cripps.
In the public hearings Raymond Younan and Gerald Carroll were questioned about claims they impersonated ICAC officers and extorted money. Former Wollongong councillors Val Zanotto and Frank Gigliotti were asked about their dealings with Mr Younan and Mr Carroll.
Former ALP councillors Kiril Jonovski and Zeki Esen were questioned about meetings with Mr Vellar. Former CEO Rod Oxley was asked about treatment of Wollongong City Council staff and his relationship with developers.
