The verdict is in: iSnack 2.0 is a stupid name, if the barrage of online complaints about Vegemite's new cheese-based spread are to be believed.The marketing bods at Kraft must be rubbing their hands together with glee at the furious debate that has been unleashed, but Vegemite fans have been left with a salty taste in their mouth after the new name was unveiled at the weekend.

It's safe to say iHate it," writes another.Another laments: "With heavy heart a nation mourns."A new website, Names That Are Better Than iSnack 2.0, has popped up encouraging people to coin their own, better, moniker.Suggestions include Spread-gemite, iNfringe 2.0, and Just-About-Anything-Would-Be-Better-Mite.Even Adolf Hitler has been weighed into the debate.A scene in Downfall, in which Hitler goes nuts as he faces defeat, has been re-subtitled to show him responding to Kraft's announcement.Online wits have been twisting the Fuhrer's words in YouTube clips since the release of the film in 2004."I am going to assume that you are joking and that Ashton Kutcher has 'punked' us all," he says in the clip, entitled Hitler finds out about iSnack 2.0."I may as well start eating Nutella for breakfast."Even my toast has to move with the times."
