Albion Park's Miss World candidate Katie Richardson is about to take her first tentative steps on the world stage in front of judges in South Africa.
And as she soaks up the sights and sounds on Safari, back home her supporters are talking up her chances of taking out the Miss World crown and the $100,000 prize money.
``She is a very all-rounded girl who has a wonderful personality and who still has the naivety and ability,'' Miss World Australia chair Pauline McFetridge-Sullivan said.
