English pop singer Kim Wilde is the latest performer to join the massive line-up of the Rewind 80s Festival at Kembla Grange next month.Wilde burst onto the music scene in 1981 with the number 2 UK Singles Chart hit Kids in America.In 1987, she had a major hit in the United States when her version of The Supremes’ classic You Keep Me Hangin’ On topped the charts.Wilde, the daughter of rock ’n’ roller Marty Wilde, released a string of million-selling albums and single success followed with Chequered Love, Water On Glass, Cambodia and View From A Bridge.She continues to enjoy a varied and highly successful career, producing new material and touring Europe extensively.On the weekend of October 28-30, Wilde will be stopping at the BlueScope Field in Kembla Grange to reclaim her Princess of Pop crown and entertain at the inaugural Rewind Festival Australia.A festival spokesperson said the event would boast the biggest live outdoor line-up of 80s recording artists and performers ever with other names including Bananarama, Midge Ure, Sister Sledge, Kool and The Gang, Tony Hadley, Nik Kershaw and ABC.‘‘The festival will not only feature the best acts of the 80s - and some from the 70s and 90s - there will be loads of other festival fun from silent discos to live karaoke bars,’’ he said.Camping options are also available for those who want to stay over.The complete Rewind Festival line up features:SATURDAY: Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, Kim Wilde, Ross Wilson, Midge Ure (Ultravox), Pseudo Echo, Cutting Crew, T’pau, The Real Thing, Nik KershawSUNDAY: Human League, Bananarama, Candi Staton, Right Said Fred, John Paul Young, ABC, Go West, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Mental as Anything.Tickets for Rewind Festival Australia are available from Moshtix at www.moshtix.com.au.Prices include $115.50 for an adult day pass ($66 children), adult weekend pass $217.90 (children $116.60) and adult weekend camping pass $66 (child $32.20).
