No play for first day of NSW PGA Championship

03 Nov, 2011 12:19 PM
The NSW PGA has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament following the suspension of play at Wollongong Golf Club.

Tournament organisers made the decision at 12pm to call off the first round after constant rain overnight and this morning.

Play will start at 7am tomorrow morning, with the high-profile grouping of Craig Parry, NRL star Braith Anasta and Australian tour proefessional Scott Laycock teeing off at 7.50am.

Defending champion Steven Bowditch will start at 12.50pm tomorrow.

A great showcase for Wollongong, let's hope we can get the event for the next couple of years also.

Well done to all concerned

I have made my family promise to kill me if I take up golf.

Can't you read Bag. It was reduced from four to three rounds.

Don't forget to yell FORE next time you play another wayward shot.

Very sad iggle...... the game is known for being the ultimate test of the individual.

Even one of those Roosters is hoping for a future in it after he is plucked.
