Former Wollongong City Council chief executive Rod Oxley has come out swinging following the Independent Commission Against Corruption's damning report, which found he created an environment that bred corruption.
``(ICAC's) report has overlooked matters of fact and has drawn conclusions based on contradictory evidence,'' he said.
``The findings that I have engaged in conduct that constitutes or involves the dishonest or partial exercise of any of my official functions is beyond belief.''
Mr Oxley said he would consult his legal counsel over the next few days ``with a view to taking whatever action that is available to me to clear my name and to restore my integrity and good standing in the community and have these adverse findings overturned''.
