30 Nov, 2009 12:24 PM
A 70-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after she was hit by a car in Albion Park this morning.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said the woman was hit by a vehicle backing out of a driveway on Tongarra Rd just after 9am.

The woman suffered head and leg injuries, and was taken to Wollongong Hospital about 9.45am.

The road was closed in both directions while the woman was treated at the scene.
