Police have launched a search for a 71-year-old man who has gone missing from his home in the Illawarra's northern suburbs.
Bruce Ludbrook was last seen at 4pm yesterday as he set out for a walk from his house in Fernhill, near Tarrawanna. He never returned home.
Police launched a search at 7.30am today at the former Corrimal colliery, where Mr Ludbrook is believed to have been heading.

He is described as being 175cm tall with a medium build and a receding hairline.
At the time he went missing he was dressed in brown Redback boots, a brown flannelette shirt and a black or brown jumper.
Police also said he was quite fit and had been known to walk as far as Dapto.
