Two Victorian men have been charged after a pursuit in which a police car was allegedly rammed this morning.
Officers spotted a Toyota Aurion, which had been reported stolen from Melbourne four days ago, driving north on the Hume Hwy at Sutton Forest about 7.30am and gave chase.
The pursuit was called off a few minutes later after the Toyota crossed to the wrong side of the highway.
The driver then allegedly rammed the police vehicle before coming to a stop.
Two men in the car were arrested and a search of the car allegedly uncovered cash and a hunting knife.
A 30-year-old man was later charged with two counts of starting a police pursuit, reckless driving, driving without ever having held a licence, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and the theft of the car.
A 17-year-old man was charged with travelling in a stolen car.
Police also allege the two men had been involved in a police pursuit on the Hume Hwy at Gundagai early this morning.
The men were refused bail to appear in Goulburn Local Court today.
