Acclaimed performer John Waters will hit the stage in Wollongong tonight to pay homage to the genius of John Lennon.

The popular singer and actor has brought his nationally acclaimed Looking Through a Glass Onion tour to the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) for tonight only.

The tour is the second-highest- selling concert tour by an Australian artist in the past 12 months.

Those who were touched by the legend of John Lennon and The Beatles will hear 31 songs performed, including A Day In The Life, Strawberry Fields Forever, Revolution, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Woman and Jealous Guy.

As well as starring in the Ten Network series Offspring, Waters recently released his debut album Cloudland at the age of 62.

Tickets to Looking Through a Glass Onion are available at IPAC.

I was, and still am, a great fan of John Lennon, but I think your description of him as a 'genius' is stretching the truth a little.
