Taylor and Mundine to fight in Wollongong

Australian boxing's much anticipated showdown between Illawarra's Shannan ``The Blaster'' Taylor and Anthony ``The Man'' Mundine will take place at WIN Entertainment Centre next February.

Contracts were signed in Sydney late Monday.

``It's been some years in the making. Now it's done and dusted,'' Taylor's manager Jason Coorey said yesterday.

Both Mundine and Taylor are in form and ranked in the world top 10.

The Taylor camp is excited, especially as the February 11 fight will be in Wollongong.

Shannan Taylor, why say yes?

It's gonna be a training drill for Mundine.

He may even send you packin' early.

Mundine KO in round 7 or 8.

Taylor is a great fighter with a great style, but he is ready to retire.

He 100 per cent deserves to fight mundine.

what a joke . Mundine is never going to take on the world's big names, he's going to keep exhausting all his options in Australia.

Shannon Taylor used to be absolutely world class but that was a long time ago and he was a welterweight at the time.

What next ? Lester Ellis gets a second shot at him?

Hey, I'm his cousin Shannon is ready and is as fit as anything. He will win this fight; believe me. He is more focused than anything!
