A very sad day for the Illawarra area. One of the nicest men you would meet in a day's march. A true gentleman, loving husband, proud father and all-round top bloke. Sincere condolences to Bev and family. I'm sure Ted won't mind if I have a couple of schooners of Tooheys Old in his memory. Rest in peace Ted.

The world has lost one of the most amazing men you will ever meet. It was an absolute honour to have been given the opportunity to know Tuck and to experience his generosity, caring nature and passion. His intellect, wit, tireless efforts for the community and genuine love for the Illawarra will be sorely missed. Ted spent his entire life looking after everyone else and he touched so many people's lives. Although sad at his departure I cant help but crack a smile now he is back with his boy -Glenn. United again and no doubt up to plenty of "barney". RIP Tuck.

What a sad day 8th February 2010 proved to be for our family. We have lost a very much loved and caring Brother-in-law and Uncle. Big Ted played such an important and wonderful part in our family for the last 55 years he is certainly going to be greatly missed. He worked hard for the City of Wollongong, always looking into any venture that he thought was good for our community-for example City Coast Credit Union, Academy of Sports, University of W'gong, several local and national sporting clubs and more recently the raising of several thousand dollars for depression treatment. His life was certainly lived to the fullest except for the last few years due to health reasons but when he was feeling ok he certainly made-up for lost time. Last December celebrating his 50 years marriage to my sister Bev seen a big family and friend gathering and this will be an occasion that all will remember dearly. So dear Brother-in-law, Uncle and friend Rest-in-Peace until we all meet again. Dorothy, Dennis and Family
