Surf boat crews from around Australia battled it out until late afternoon to decide the top open, under 23 and under 19 teams.

The Navy co-ordinator for the event, Commander Rod Harrod, said the competition had been a great example of teamwork, fitness and motivation.

Open women: 1, Avoca Beach; 2, South Curl Curl; 3, Bilgola.
