Warrawong school girl unconscious: 3 charged

A Warrawong student was left unconscious after an alleged bashing at her school yesterday afternoon.

Police allege the 15-year-old girl was repeatedly punched in the head and stomach by a woman while being restrained by a teenager in the car park of a school in Cowper St, shortly after 3pm.

A 14-year-old boy who came to the aid of the girl, was also assaulted during the attack, police allege.

A man, woman and teenager in Warrawong were later arrested.

A 35-year-old man was charged with affray and assaulting a school student.

A 35-year-old woman was charged with assaulting a school student and common assault.

They are both due to appear at Port Kembla Local Court on March 28.

A 13-year-old girl was charged with affray and common assault. She was granted conditional bail to appear at Port Kembla Children’s Court on March 26.
