Police are appealing for witnesses to a crash in which a 37-year-old Woonona cyclist was killed in western Sydney on Saturday.
The cyclist, named by Sydney media as David Williams, was among a group of three men and a woman riding in the breakdown lane of the M4, near the Northern Rd overpass at South Penrith.
About 7.40am, they were struck by a westbound B-double truck that police allege had veered into the breakdown lane.

It is understood the group was riding from Edensor Park to the Blue Mountains.
Mr Williams died at the scene while the other three cyclists - a 20-year-old woman and 27-year-old man from Edensor Park and a 24-year-old Bossley Park man - were taken by ambulance to Nepean Hospital suffering serious injuries.
The truck driver, a 27-year-old Glenmore Park man, was taken to Nepean Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.
Police set up a crime scene and officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the collision.
The westbound lanes of the M4 were closed for several hours on Saturday.
