The Hawks remain confident centre Cam Tragardh, who has been suffering from a groin injury, will be back on the training court this week.
Coach Eric Cooks gave his players two days off after Saturday's thrashing of Sydney and expects Tragardh to be fit to play the October 1 road game against Perth.
The 24-year-old was a last-minute withdrawal from last week's loss to New Zealand and also sat out the clash with Sydney.
"It appears to be a minor injury. Fingers crossed that's the case," Cooks said.
"He'll take it easy over the next couple of days to recover and hopefully he'll join the team midweek and test it out."
Cooks said his side had pulled up well after flying across the Tasman and back for two games in three days.
The Hawks will resume training today to start preparing for their showdown with Perth.
Wollongong's next home game is against the Brian Goorjian-coached South Dragons on October 4.
