Dual Olympian Glen Saville will finish his career in Wollongong after today becoming the latest Hawk to sign for the NBL 2009-10 season.The 33-year-old will be back in his number 12 singlet for a 15th season with the Hawks. "I'm very happy to be staying with the Wollongong Hawks this season,'' Saville said."I came out in March to support Mat (Campbell) and the Save the Hawks team in their goal of making sure the Hawks stay alive."I made a commitment then that there was no other club I wanted to play for other than Wollongong."Fortunately its been a remarkable past several months for all the people involved behind the scenes to save the Hawks and I'm now proud to be honouring that commitment and suiting up for the Hawks this season.''Hawks chief executive Wayne Morris was delighted to keep Saville in Wollongong."Glen is one of the premier players in the NBL,'' Morris said."We always knew other teams would attempt to lure him away from Wollongong, but Glen has always said he would like to stay with Wollongong and continue to play for the city he calls home. "The club has been very open in our desire for Glen to remain as a member of the ahm Hawks team.'' Saville joins Mat Campbell, forward Cameron Tragardh and new signing Tim Behrendorff on the Hawks roster.
