Unbeaten Oak Flats put on another batting master class, while Lake Illawarra and The Rail batted themselves into commanding positions on day one of round two in South Coast cricket.
Oak Flats racked up 300-plus for the second straight game, belting 8-339 against Gerringong at Geoff Shaw Oval on Saturday.
While Kerry Penfold made a double century and Darren O'Connell a ton against Kiama in round one, Oak Flats showed off their batting depth, with Rob Hill smashing 115 and Ryan Chatterton 78 against the Gerringong attack.
The pair shared a 148-run fifth wicket stand to surely take the game beyond the Jets when play resumes on Saturday.
Lake Illawarra bounced back from a loss to Shellharbour in round one to outclass Jamberoo at Howard Fowles Oval.
Jamberoo won the toss but that was their only victory for the day after being bowled out for 66 in 36.5 overs.

With a lead of 186 Lake will be pressing hard for an outright win on day two.
The Rail skipper Simon Bartlett guided his side to a dominant position against Kiama with a wonderful 126 at Croome Road.
Bartlett's younger brother Adrian belted a century in the one-day competition earlier this season, while a third Bartlett brother, Chris also played first grade against Kiama.
With The Rail in trouble at 4-60, Simon and Chris Bartlett (34) combined for a crucial 59-run stand, followed by Simon Bartlett and Andrew Warren (35) putting on 105.
Some aggressive batting helped The Rail make 283, with Kiama to start day two at 2-13.
