Dapto showed they're the team to beat in all forms of Illawarra cricket this season after thrashing Corrimal in their one-day clash at Reed Park on Saturday.
Round nine featured five lopsided games, with Dapto among the most impressive winners with a 138-run belting of the Cougars.
Batting first, Dapto were the only side in the five games to bat their full 50 overs, finishing at 9-204.
Former Corrimal batsman Michael Stephenson (65) top-scored against his old club and was well supported by Steve Davies (39), Aaron Hickson (25), Dale Scifleet (22) and Greg Wray (26).
Ryan Hunter (3-40) was the best of the Corrimal attack, but in reply the visitors crumbled to be bowled out for 66.
Dean Merola (25) offered the only resistance, as Tommi Bozinovski (3-20) and Wray (3-15) did the damage for the red-hot Dapto attack.
Meantime, Wests Illawarra caused the upset of the round with a convincing 55-run away win over University.
Batting first, Wests posted a competitive 187, led by a fine 82 from Andrew Tougher, which included three sixes and eight boundaries.
Richard Sykes and Kurt Miller took three wickets each for Uni, but from 2-76 in reply, they folded to be bowled out for 132.
In a bizarre bowling effort Wests had 29 wides, while David Giorgio turned the game, taking 4-31 off only 7.5 overs.
Meantime, Balgownie made only 143 but still thrashed a dismal Helensburgh by 50 runs at Helensburgh Oval.
Chris Sheppard (50) and James Fleming (28) held the Bally batting together, while Matt Treuberg took 4-26 for the home side.
Helensburgh struggled in the run chase and were dismissed for only 93 off 36.1 overs. Mitchell McCrae (20) top-scored, while Fleming (3-20) and Jonathan McCreary (3-33) were on top for Bally with the ball.
Keira remain on target to make the one-day semi-finals after a five-wicket win over Northern Districts at Hollymount Park.
Keira rolled the Butchers for just 91, spinner Jonathan Cook the star with 4-12.
Despite being 4-25 in the run chase, an unbeaten 22 from James Goddard and 31 from wicketkeeper Alex Lebsanft ensured Keira won with 18 overs to spare.
In the other game at King George Oval, Wollongong embarrassed Port Kembla with a nine-wicket win with more than 30 overs to spare.
Port were bowled out for only 108, with Luke Hunter (27) top-scoring and Aidan Green taking 3-29 for Wollongong.
Andrew Pickard then blasted a rapid unbeaten 78 for Wollongong to ensure an early finish.
