NSW all-rounder Moises Henriques has no doubt South Australia will recover from the emotional high of hosting the Big Bash final when they tackle the Blues on Australia Day.
The Redbacks will be gunning for their first title since the 1995-96 Sheffield Shield when they meet Victoria at Adelaide Oval tomorrow in the Twenty20 decider.
Win or lose, Henriques is certain the 50-over cellar dwellers will be on the job when they arrive in the Illawarra for the crucial Ford Ranger Cup encounter.
"They will have to turn around for our game because their Ford Ranger Cup season is on the line," Henriques said.
"They will be very disappointed if they lose and over the moon if they win (the T20 final). How they bounce back depends on their mental state."
South Australia (8 points) are propping up the Ford Ranger Cup table while NSW (13 points) are in a three-way tie for third place.
The Redbacks will also have to overcome being bowled out for 81 in a T20 encounter with the Blues last Sunday.
"We'll take confidence out of that, but it was a Twenty20 game and sometimes that is the nature of the best," Henriques said.
"It's almost all about the start - if you lose a few quick wickets you're really behind the eight ball."
The hard-hitting right-hander, who also bowls fast enough to take the new ball, made his one-day international debut in India last October and admitted the marquee match-up could be a springboard back into the national fold.
Fellow Blue Shane Watson is the only all-rounder selected for the first two ODIs against Pakistan, starting today at the Gabba.
"Being in the side was terrific, having played in the past six-12 months has been an amazing experience," Henriques said.
"After one game you just want more.
"Every game is an opportunity for everybody, a chance to show your skills. There will be 10 other NSW guys who will be looking forward to Australia Day for the same reason."
Portuguese-born Henriques will relinquish the NSW captaincy to Simon Katich, who is back in blue after the Test summer.
Despite having to shoulder the triple burdens of batting in the top four, bowling lengthy spells and captaincy, the 22-year-old said leadership had helped his game.
"If anything in the past I have been guilty of getting out when I was set, it's almost a lesson I needed to have as a batsman," Henriques said.
Tickets for the clash start from $5 and are available by phoning Ticketek on 13 2849.
