It's not hard to guess what is the major topic of conversation around the dinner table for Casey Eastham, Airlie Ogilvie and Fiona Johnson when they sit down for a meal in Perth.
The Hockeyroos trio have set up house with Eastham's brother Matt and invariably discussion gets back to what brought them west - hockey.
"We talk about a lot of things but in the end we are all here because of hockey," Eastham said.
"It's good to have a couple of girls (from the squad) here to bounce ideas off and it works really well for all of us.
"We are all doing the same thing and it's good for those early morning training sessions because there are three of us there to make sure we get up."
Eastham moved in with fellow NSW product Johnson when she went to Perth last year but since then the house has become a hub for South Coast players.
For Ogilvie, who is from Woonona, it was the ideal place to go when she was surprisingly picked in the national squad earlier this year and it has played a major role in her late call-up for next week's Champions Trophy in Sydney.
"I have known Casey growing up and it made it a lot easier moving in with her and Fi," Ogilvie said.
"Just getting picked in the squad was huge for me and to make the most of it I decided I had to come over here and train and play with rest of the squad.
"Any questions I have I can ask them and not feel too silly.
"It was a big leap coming over here and I think living with the girls has made it a lot easier."
Ogilvie is set to make her debut in Australian colours against Germany in Perth today as the build-up to the Champions Trophy ramps up with two Tests over the weekend.
"I can't wait to get out on the field because I have improved so much since being here and it will be great to finally play for Australia," the 21-year-old said.
