Predatory Price out for spring with tendon injury

18 Oct, 2009 11:43 AM
Predatory Pricer will miss the remainder of the spring after injuring a tendon in his Caulfield Cup failure.

Trainer Paul Murray will have the four-year-old's off-side front leg scanned on Monday to establish the extent of the injury.

"He was very lame,'' Murray said.

"The off-side front leg had a lot of heat in it.

"It looks like a tendon, that's it for now at least.''

A downcast Murray was forced to immediately rule out Predatory Pricer for the Cox Plate.

But it helped to explain Predatory Pricer's 12th place in the Caulfield Cup, in which he started a well-supported favourite.
