Kiama motocross star Robbie Maddison, is in a stable condition in hospital after crashing during practice for this weekend's Red Bull XFighters motorcycle stunt show.The 30-year-old freestyle motocross stunt rider was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital after injuring himself on a makeshift course built on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour.Maddison, who set the world record for the longest jump on a motorcycle at more than 100 metres, injured himself while warming up for a series of promotional stunt jumps.Organisers refused to comment on the nature or extent of his injuries.A Royal North Shore Hospital spokeswoman confirmed Maddison was in a stable condition but would not comment on the extent of his injuries.Maddison has made an international name for himself by performing high-profile stunts at some of the world's most famous landmarks.He jumped a bike on to the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and backflipped over the opening in London's Tower Bridge.Last year he signed with the famous "Crusty Demons" stunt group, which tours the world performing stunts in front of packed stadiums.
