Bulli's Australian representatives Brittany Sharkey and Downie Langthorne will captain a strong Illawarra side at the 2008 NSW Inter-Branch Championships at Catherine Hill Bay next month.

The Illawarra branch team is consistent in both water and beach competition and is expected to compete in all disciplines.

Surf Life Saving NSW High Performance Squad members Ben Griffiths and Ryan O'Grady, both of Bulli, will form the under 17 boys' water contingent and are expected to perform well in the championships.

"The Illawarra has once again established a strong and dedicated team to compete at the championships," Surf Life Saving Illawarra director of Surf Sports, Brad Hynard, said.

"We congratulate all athletes on their selection to the team and wish them well in the competition."

Bulli's Keith Caldwell is branch team manager and Mike McKeon, of Wollongong City, team coach.
