Dragons' big names in for Cowboys clash

The majority of the Dragons’ big name stars will get their first taste of on-field action in Saturday night’s NRL trial against the Cowboys in Perth.

Coach Steve Price today named a 25-man squad to travel to Perth, including senior players Matt Cooper, Ben Creagh, Ben Hornby, Jamie Soward, Brett Morris and Dean Young.

The Dragons will spend the week in Perth training, conducting coaching clinics and participating in promotional activities in the lead-up to their trial game against the Cowboys at nib Stadium on Saturday night.

The Dragons have had one pre-season trial, losing to the Bulldogs at WIN Stadium 28-18 two nights ago.

I will NEVER pay a cent for the mercury. It has to be free or I will never read it.

The mercury doesn't publish online content at the weekends because it wants the locals to buy the paper.

Its a disgrace. What the Mercury needs is some online competition,

We need an online local news provider who is actually willing to cover stories in a non biased manner.
