Bulldogs star Josh Morris has based his fledgling representative career around his hard-running uncompromising style.
But the former Kiama junior believes he will be able to cut it as a showman in Saturday week's inaugural NRL All Stars game at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast.
Morris will come off the bench for the All Stars against an indigenous dream team featuring the likes of flashy Dragons five-eighth Jamie Soward, superstar playmaker Scott Prince and one of the NRL's great entertainers, Wendell Sailor.
Full coverage of the Dragons The clash will also be the first shots fired in chasing NSW State of Origin positions between experienced centre Matt Cooper, electrifying Penrith player Michael Jennings and Morris.
But Morris is confident he can put on a dazzling display of his own.
"With the unlimited interchange, there'll be a lot of attacking football," he said of the All Stars game.
"When they get the ball, they'll all be wanting to show off their skills and make it entertaining for the fans and I'm no different."
The 23-year-old was relaxing in his home town of Kiama yesterday after training during camp with the Bulldogs squad.
After completing a morning weights and wrestling session, the players escaped the rain yesterday afternoon with a visit to the movies. But Morris will be the one aiming to get his name up in lights next week.
Morris scored 22 tries with his breathtaking ability to run into gaps and through tackles.
It was a watershed season for the former Dragons player, who moved to the Bulldogs at the start of last year and went on to play for NSW.
He was also part of the Kangaroo tour as Australia claimed the Four Nations Cup.
After overcoming a major foot injury, Morris was a late call-up to make his debut in game two and also played in the Blues pride-salvaging win in the final battle in Brisbane.
"To be part of that last game when we won at Suncorp was a great experience," he said.
"This year we've got two games in Sydney, so I'd love to play this year with all my family there and hopefully win the trophy back.
"But I've just got to work hard again this year and play some good consistent footy and hopefully some more representative football will come with it."
