NSW coach Craig Bellamy is considering a last-minute switch to thrust debutants Justin Poore and Michael Weyman into the heat of battle in the opening minutes of tonight's State of Origin clash in Melbourne.
Bellamy yesterday revealed he had been toying with the idea of elevating the in-form St George Illawarra team-mates into the starting line-up as part of his blueprint for victory against Queensland.
When asked yesterday if he planned to start with the dynamic Dragons duo, Bellamy coyly replied "not at this stage", but he admitted their brilliant form in the NRL made it tempting to use both of them ahead of Manly's Brent Kite and the Gold Coast's Luke Bailey.

"They know each other, they're always hanging around camp together, so I think it will be a benefit for us to have them on the field together, or mostly together.
"So that's what we plan to do tomorrow night.
"They've been great in camp, they're young guys and they're really keen to go out there and rip and tear."
With NSW desperate to break Queensland's three-year stranglehold on the series, Bellamy said he had settled on his starting back row combination for the game after Luke Lewis and Anthony Laffranchi were brought into the NSW team to replace Glenn Stewart and Paul Gallen, who were ruled out through suspension and injury respectively last week.
However, Bellamy continued to keep his selection cards close to his chest.
"We've made that decision, but we don't want to make that public at the moment," he said.
Dragons star Ben Creagh is likely to start the game, with Lewis, Laffranchi or North Queensland's Luke O'Donnell vying for the remaining second row and lock positions.
Bellamy said he was expecting Queensland to make some late changes as well.
The Maroons are believed to be considering bringing Brisbane's Karmichael Hunt in to start at fullback ahead of Melbourne's Billy Slater, a move which proved successful last year.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Karmichael started instead of Billy," Bellamy said.
"Nate Myles might find himself in there (starting) as well."
