NSW five-eighth Jamie Soward has missed out on selection for the Indigenous All Stars team to play on the Gold Coast in February.Soward was the hero for the Indigenous team last year, streaking away to score a 40-metre try and secure a thrilling 16-12 victory over the NRL All Stars. But after struggling for form and dealing with a niggling back injury last season, Soward was overlooked in the public vote, with captain Johnathan Thurston and former Rabbitohs, now Parramatta playmaker Chris Sandow picked to start in the halves.Completing the combination of indigenous halfbacks, Scott Prince will come of the bench for them at Skilled Park on February 4.With the Indigenous All Stars team chosen, fans can turn their attention to voting for Wayne Bennett’s NRL All Stars side. The first stage of voting open will open until December 23.Fans can select two forwards and two backs from either of the 16 NRL clubs at www.nrl.com/allstars.Bennett will then make a 64-man shortlist for the second round of voting.
