Police are hunting four men after a 14-year-old girl says she was grabbed off a street and raped in a car in a Leichhardt laneway.
The teen told police she was walking along busy Norton Street, Leichhardt, about 5pm on Tuesday when she was approached by a black 4WD containing the four men.
"It's reported the girl was taken to a laneway parallel to Lilyfield Road where she was sexually assaulted in the vehicle by one of the men, while allegedly being held down by the other two men," police said.
The men then let the girl go and she ran home, police said. She was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for examination.
Police could not say how the girl entered the 4WD, including whether she was dragged in against her will.
smh.com.auPolice urged parents not to let their children walk alone, especially late in the afternoon or evening.
