Mystery 'Gollum' creature found in Panama: reports

21 Sep, 2009 05:08 PM
A group of teenagers have reportedly discovered an unidentified creature in Panama that has left zoologists puzzled as to its origins.

The teens said they found the mutant creature when it was alive, however it began advancing towards them and they threw rocks and sticks at it, killing the creature.

It reportedly emerged from a cave behind a waterfall on the shores of a lake near the small town of Cerro Azul.

Footage shows the white, hairless creature, nicknamed Gollum, sprawled across a rock in Panama.

The online video has been rated as one of the most popular on the internet in the past day, according to Viral Video Chart.

Zoologists in Panama said the creature appeared to be a dead fetus of some kind.

Some have suggested the creature may be a sloth, however tests have not confirmed this.

It certainly looks like a sloth... possibly one that died and fell into the water... That would also explain the bloating of the animal.

Why the horrible teens killed it instead of calling some one is strange to me .. someone should throw rocks and sticks at them !!!

It could be a sloth. Although the kids said they attacked the creature when it emergedfrom the cave behind the waterfall. Who knows?

Um, people, that's an alien. Those in denial -including scientists- will try to force validation that "it's" a part of our animal kingdom. No, it is not. Get REAL people. Aliens do exist and they are coming. Sorry to burst your fantasy bubble.

mark my words this is the first sign that the world is coming to an end in 2012, this is only a small part of the rapture and there is much worse to come it is a being sent to judge us and we have ultimately failed by killing it

Aliens!?!? HAHAHAHA. Idiots. You need to crawl out of your caves & get a grip on life. This is a SLOTH.

Just had a look at some Sloth images. I'm no zoologist but that thing looks nothing like one. It appears to have no teeth, a massive tongue, no sign of a nose (only nose holes), rubbery, shiny skin. The only thing that makes it look similar to a sloth is how wide the eyes are apart from each other. Definately very unusual though.

Looks to me like a poor sloth with a skin/hair issue...poor bugga, if it did go at the kids it would have only been crawling. Geez what panzies to kill something so beautiful
