Snake with foot discovered in China

An elderly woman in China has discovered a snake with a clawed foot clinging to her bedroom wall, it has been reported.Dean Qiongxiu was so scared that she used a shoe to beat the animal to death, the SINA Beijing news agency reported.She then preserved the snake, which is now being examined at the Life Sciences Department at China's West Normal University.

I turned on the light and saw this monster working its way along the wall using his claw," Mrs Duan told the news agency.The snake was reportedly 16 inches long and the thickness of a little finger.An expert said a more common snake mutation was the growth of a second head, rather than a clawed foot.
