Tevi Kolomatangi, 43, appeared in Lithgow Local Court yesterday charged with murdering Dragan Sekuljica and shooting with intent to murder security guard Robert Gyles.
During his brief appearance, uniformed police were asked to leave the courtroom as Kolomatangi was known to have a violent reaction to uniforms.
Kolomatangi was also charged yesterday with conspiring at Redfern and Wentworthville between September 8, 2007 and October 4, 2007 to murder Dusan Kristic.
Magistrate Georgia Knight adjourned all matters to Wollongong Local Court on January 30 when the 43-year-old is due to appear via video link.
Tarrawanna man Zlatan Popovic allegedly planned, directed and paid for the shooting of Mr Sekuljica at Splashes just before 3am on September 8, 2007.
Mr Sekuljica was shot outside the one-time Cliff Road club by a masked gunman.
The father of two ran back into the nightclub but collapsed near the bar as the shooter fired a further three shots, including a fatal bullet to his head.
Mr Sekuljica died at the scene while the 44-year-old security guard was shot and injured.
Police claim Popovic and the shooter were known to each other and that Popovic made several cash payments to the gunman in the days after the murder.
The second man to be charged was Jason Hristovski, who appeared in Lithgow Local Court earlier this month charged with murder and shooting with intent to murder.
The court is yet to hear details of Hristovski's alleged involvement.
A third man, a 26-year-old from the Illawarra who cannot be named for legal reasons, is facing the same charges and was refused bail.
Popovic, Hristovski and the 26-year-old are due to appear in Wollongong Local Court on December 19.
