Lake Illawarra police investigating an armed robbery have seized a car during a search on a Dapto home.
Police executed a search warrant on the address about 6pm yesterday in connection with the robbery in Kiama earlier this week.
Two female employees, aged 46 and 51, were working at Manning Street General Store about 4pm on Monday when two men, one armed with a double-barrelled shotgun, entered the store.
The armed man pushed the gun’s barrel against the 46-year-old woman’s head and demanded she open the till, police said.
She complied, while the second man walked behind the counter and grabbed cigarettes and money.
The pair escaped in a white sedan, similar to a Nissan Pulsar, heading north on Manning Street then west into Barney Street.
A number of items relating to the investigation were seized in the search, according to Lake Illawarra police.
No-one was charged, however, investigations are continuing, police said.
