Man charged over East Corrimal break-ins

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly breaking in to two homes in East Corrimal this morning.

Police say the man entered a home in Murray Road around 4am, through the front door. The homeowner was woken up and asked the intruder to leave the house.

Police said he then left the house before returning a short time later and entering a neighbouring home. 

Wollongong police attended the scene and arrested the 22-year-old man. 

He was charged with aggravated break and enter with intent and committing a serious indictable offence.

No-one was injured during the alleged break-ins.

The man is expected to face Wollongong Local Court today.
